Working prototype · access opening gradually

Therapy may be two hours a week. Your child's life happens in the other 166.

My Happy World gives families personalised activities for communication, emotions and everyday routines, based on what their child can already do.

Works on any phone · Nothing to install · Not a diagnostic tool

This is one week of your child's life

168 squares, one for every hour. Walk through it, then change the numbers to match your own family — the grid and the totals follow you.

One record. Three ways of seeing it.

Your child gets encouragement. You get patterns. Their therapist gets the detail that makes a session count.

Big buttons, few words, nothing that overwhelms

Nineteen activities across communication, emotions, social skills, routines, learning and creative time. The home screen answers one question — what should I do now.

  • Picture-led throughout, for children who don't read yet
  • Animation, sound and imagery can all be switched off
  • Nothing is locked. No child is shown a list of what they can't do

What's moving, in plain language

A developmental profile you control, progress across the areas you chose, and 51 guidance cards on sleep, transitions, meltdowns, school and eating.

  • You set the priorities and change them whenever things change
  • Every suggestion explains itself, and you can overrule any of them
  • A weekly view that shows the pattern, not one hard day

What happened at home, before the session starts

A caseload view with goals, observations and session reporting — so time normally spent asking "how was the week?" can be spent on the child instead.

  • Goals tracked against what the family actually did
  • Parent-reported information, clearly labelled as such
  • Never a diagnostic tool, and never a replacement for your judgement

How it works

Four steps, and then it loops. Nothing here needs a specialist present.

1

You describe your child

Nine short questions about communication, current abilities, sensory profile and family priorities. All skippable, all editable later.

2

Your child practises

One clear thing to do next, three suggestions, and a feelings check-in. Five to fifteen minutes is a real session.

3

Progress becomes visible

Activity feeds the goals you chose — asking for help, naming a feeling, finishing a routine. You see the pattern, not one hard day.

4

Suggestions adjust

As abilities change, the ranking changes too. A thumbs-down removes something permanently.

It fits the child, not the diagnosis

Answer three questions the way you would for your own child. This is the real ranking logic from the app, running here on the page.

1How does your child communicate?
2What matters most right now?
3How much day-to-day support?
What the app would suggest first

Built on evidence for caregiver-mediated support

The approach is well studied. The software built on it is new, and has not been clinically evaluated — we say so plainly below.

A parent and child seen from above, their arms forming a circle
  • The World Health Organization built a programme on this approach Caregiver Skills Training was designed for delivery by non-specialists in low-resource settings and field-tested in more than 30 countries.
  • Reviewed evidence for the approach, not for this app Systematic reviews report improved parent–child interaction, and a 2024 meta-analysis found caregiver skills training effective for both caregivers and children.
  • What we contribute is delivery Personalised, in the family's own language, on the phone they already own — between the sessions a specialist can offer.

🩺

Not a diagnostic tool

It never infers a diagnosis. Everything about your child is what you chose to tell us, labelled as parent-reported throughout.

🤝

You stay in control

Every suggestion explains itself. Mark one as unsuitable and it never appears again. The app does not argue with you.

🔒

Your data

Only what personalisation needs. Names are never shown publicly, nothing is sold or shared, and it is never used to train outside systems.

🌙

Designed to be calm

Motion, sound and imagery can all be turned off, reduced-motion settings are respected, and touch targets are sized for small hands.

Working now

  • 19 activities across 7 developmental areas
  • Child, parent and professional views
  • Personalised suggestions that explain themselves
  • Accessibility and sensory controls throughout

Not done yet

  • Progress is not saved when you close it
  • Figures shown in the app are sample data
  • More languages still to be added
  • Independent clinical review has not happened yet
